NEW YORK, Dec. 20, 2025 – Los Angeles Lakers guard Marcus Smart has been fined $35,000 for making an obscene gesture toward a game official, it was announced today by James Jones, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred at halftime of the Lakers’ 143-135 win over the Utah Jazz on Dec. 18 at Delta Center.
