QUESTION: Why was a review called for prior to Dillon Brooks’ Flagrant 1 foul? What did you see on the play to constitute a review?
BLAIR: We reviewed the play to see if the loose ball foul by Brooks was unnecessary.
QUESTION: Why was Dillon Brooks’ Flagrant 1 foul constituted as “unnecessary contact” while reaching for the ball?
BLAIR: Upon review, we deemed that the illegal contact by Brooks had wind up and impact to Claxton’s groin area and there was a high potential for injury.
QUESTION: Why was a review called prior to Dillon Brooks’ technical foul without any foul calls on the whistle?
BLAIR: We reviewed the play to see if a hostile act occurred.
QUESTION: Why was Dillon Brooks given a technical foul?
BLAIR: For pushing Dёmin to the ground following a loose ball foul on Dёmin.
QUESTION: Did you not see Egor Dёmin’s actions on the play as instigating as he was holding Brooks?
BLAIR: Not during live play, no.
QUESTION: Could you run through an explanation for each of the five technical fouls given towards the end of the game?
BLAIR: Dёmin dead ball push to Brooks from behind. Mann and O’Neale physical interaction with each other that does not resolve. Porter for pushing assistant coach DeMarre Carroll. And Allen, for taunting Williams while he was on the ground.
QUESTION: And you saw none of those as excessive enough to warrant an ejection?
BLAIR: Correct.
