Pool Report on Why Jalen Williams was not allowed into the game with 5:52 left in the Fourth Quarter of Tonight’s Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors

The Pool Report interview was conducted by C.J. Holmes (San Francisco Chronicle) with Crew Chief Courtney Kirkland following tonight’s Thunder and Warriors game.

QUESTION:  It was clear Jalen Williams was at the scorer’s table prior to the stoppage of play.  Why was he not allowed to check in at the dead ball?

KIRKLAND: We did not recognize that Jalen Williams was at the scorer’s table when the ball went out of bounds.  Because he was at the scorer’s table he should have been allowed to come into the game, but we did not recognize that he was there. It was our error, and he should have been allowed to enter the game.
