NBA Officials Bill Kennedy and Gary Zielinski met with pool reporter Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press after the game between the Pacers and Heat in Miami tonight. Here is the transcript of that interview:

Q: The rationale for the second technical?

Zielinski: “Profanity directed at an official.”

Q: There appeared to be confusion since George was still on the court when Dragic shot the free throw. Were you aware that was George’s second technical?

Zielinski: “Yes, we were aware. And Billy stopped them from announcing it and then we shot it.”

Kennedy: “Because Dragic was shooting.”

Zielinski: “Because he was shooting, Billy stopped them from announcing it. And then they announced it, and he was ejected.”
