NBA Crew Chief Ken Mauer met with pool reporter Brian Mahoney of the Associated Press after the game between the Clippers and Nets in Brooklyn tonight. Here is the transcript of that interview:

Question 1: On why the first technical foul was assessed to Clippers head coach Doc Rivers?

Mauer: Technically, the first technical was for crossing over midcourt. That’s automatic.
Question 2: If you cross midcourt, that is automatic. He (Rivers) could have gone outside his box and been okay, but once he crosses that line (midcourt), that’s automatic?

Mauer: That’s automatic.
Question 3: How about the second technical?

Mauer: Do I need to explain it to you? Watch the tape. Behavior, language warrants a second technical foul. Warranted an ejection after getting a first technical foul.
