POOL REPORT ON THE TECHNICAL FOUL CALLED ON BRADLEY BEAL WITH 2:10 LEFT IN OVERTIME IN TONIGHT’S SAN ANTONIO SPURS AT WASHINGTON WIZARDS GAME

INTERVIEW CONDUCTED BY FRED KATZ (THE ATHLETIC) WITH CREW CHIEF JAMES WILLIAMS FOLLOWING TONIGHT’S SAN ANTONIO SPURS AT WASHINGTON WIZARDS GAME.

April 26, 2021

QUESTION: Why was there a technical foul called on Bradley Beal with 2:10 remaining in overtime?

WILLIAMS: “Bradley Beal was assessed a technical foul after a foul was whistled in Washington’s favor. He was assessed a respect for the game technical foul, because official Jacyn Goble saw him [Beal] wave off and direct profanity at another official.  That is why he was given the respect for the game technical foul.”
